Introducing Grind House Exotics

Let's face it, times are tough. When I was growing up, I used to ask myself how much money it would take to be comfortable? How much did I need to make in order to survive? How much do I need to make if I want to not worry about anything anymore? That answer has changed drastically in the last few years.

One thing I know is I am very particular about what I smoke, what I buy, and those decisions get even harder when money is tight. And money is tight for everyone today. What do you look for when you shop for flower? Is price the most important? Is it terps or taste? Or dare I say... PERCENTAGE?! (Hopefully you have figured out that percentage is only... a percentage of the entourage effect.) I personally investigate farms and ask specific questions to people I trust with the same criteria for quality.

When I go to spend my money on product, it needs to taste good, cured well, hell it needs to be great! I look at the strains the farm is growing to get an idea of what they are passionate about. I look at Instagram and read reviews. I learn everything I can about a farm when I am interested in their product. With so many farms to choose from at all price points, it makes it hard to choose one I DON'T know. With the influx of new strains and new farms sometimes we end up choosing a strain we are familiar with over trying anything new. And that is a missed opportunity for the consumer and the dispensary.

When I heard about Grind House Exotics, I was highly intrigued. "Snoop Dogg level stuff in Cookies style bags" is the comment I got when recommended. They were not local to the Olympic Peninsula, but they had been here once. And the only reason it disappeared was because of the mylar bag problem. If the customer can't see the product, they have a hard time buying what they can't see. While I understand this issue, I have evolved to understand why product is kept in the dark to maintain quality.

I searched the web and found Grind House at Zips Sodo. A long drive to gamble on a farm I had never seen or heard of. But I was searching for something fresh and new. And I trusted my source. The first strains I got were Kush Mintz & Tickle Burger. The only two strains they had, and they were mine! I cracked that bag open after snapping a photo of the bags. I am not going to lie; the bag appeal was off the charts. It stank up my whole car, and even the inside of the bag was covered in their logo! Now that's attention to detail and I haven't even smoked yet.

The Rest is History

The quality was above the curve, the smell was powerful and pungent, the smoke was exactly what I expected from the smell and cure and the medicinal qualities were through the roof. Grind House Exotics was even more than I expected! We sent an email and got a phone call from them a few hours later. Heather from GHE was knowledgeable, easy to talk to, passionate about what they are doing and transparent about every aspect of their operation. We are grateful they chose to do business with us. I will let them explain who they are and how they do things. I will say this, you won't find this product anywhere in Western Washington past Seattle, Tacoma and Olympia. We are the only shop on the North Olympic Peninsula to carry Grind House Exotics and we want to share this amazing product with our customers.

We have 13 strains in 1/8ths and 1/4's. We will be releasing them in batches as they sell out. We have three strains that are limited run, RS-11, Ice 101, and Mellowz. I had the Mellowz last night and it has some exhilarating energy up front and a lot of chill on the back end. A real 'No worries' kind of strain! This is as fresh as it gets folks. Grind House has less than ten people cultivating, processing and shipping product. Every store that's lucky enough to carry the product gets it when each crop is harvested and cured. And none of it ever sits long enough to go bad.

With cutting edge strains from Black Market DNA, you won't ever have to worry about getting bored of this brand. We are going to focus on sharing information about every strain as we try it. I will personally be your Grind House Ambassador and let's be clear, I AM NOT AN EMPLOYEE OF ELWHA PEAKS! I am the IT Support Tech for Elwha Enterprise Inc. I help take care of this website officially, giving me access to the product and process at Peaks. I produce these blogs purely from the passion I have for this industry and this plant. It has impacted my life in a very positive way, and I want to share that passion with my community. I hunt for the very best product that I can get my hands on, and this farm is at the top of my list. This is a very special partnership we have with Grind House Exotics, and I know it's worth your hard-earned dollars too! Trust me you will not be disappointed!
